Examine socket for corrosion before doing test, if contacts are not bright scape until bright metal can be seen then test, or simply replace bulb after scraping contacts and do practical functional test. Remove cornering lamps from sockets and with a sweep meter check for current in the socket with ignition switch in run position and headlamp switch in parking light position. A failure of both would tend to indicate a headlamp switch problem or bad grounding from socket corrosion. It is highly unlikely both the left and right cornering lamp contacts in the turn signal switch are bad. Bulbs are not making good contact in the sockets or sockets have internal corrosion. The turn signal switch is bad (new ones are availible and cheap) Only takes pulling the steering wheel to get to it.Ĥ. There are four possibilities to the cornering lamp failure issue:ġ.
